Decision approval

When an order is placed in the online store, the internal process is automatically triggered.
When BPMN2 is used to implement such a process, it is only necessary to send a signal to the BPM system when the order is placed, and the amount of code is small, so that the system is loosely coupled.
At the same time, other requirements in the order processing process (the requirements marked in the diagram above) can be defined directly in BPMN2 as a standard function and do not need to be coded.
If it is implemented in OA process, it requires a lot of code, and some functions are not easy to implement.
At the same time, because the process is initiated by the implementer writing code in OA, there is a possibility of losing orders when the initiation fails, while in BPMN2, this is a built-in function, as long as the signal is received, the order will not be lost.

When the inventory falls below a certain value, the replenishment process is automatically initiated.
The external system only needs to set the BPM inventory variable regularly, and the process will be automatically triggered when the inventory is lower than the set condition, with less programming and loose coupling.

Only after receiving the signal can the process continue to be executed.
BPMN2 - Orders that have not yet been paid will not be stocked in the stocking process, and after payment, the stocking staff will receive a new task notification and prepare the goods in time.
OA - Lack of waiting mechanism, after the order is confirmed, regardless of whether the payment will be made to the stocking link, the people in the stocking link are faced with orders that have been paid and some have not been paid, which needs to be manually confirmed regularly, which is cumbersome and easy to cause delays.

It is difficult to set a timeout for a set of activities in OA.
BPMN2 provides a standard way to set timeouts for a set of activities (or the entire process) and is visualized (the timed out process is clear at a glance when the process is tracked).

BPMN2 can drive a large process to flow automatically across systems.
It is difficult for OA to achieve such a function.

For the first time, BPMN2 allows the decision approval to be visually expanded, and it's obvious at a glance when the processing is being tracked.
OA attempts to solve such problems using their respective methods, but none is as clear as the method shown in the above picture.

The administrative process is usually approved sequentially, but in some special cases, it is necessary to skip the intermediate steps and go directly to the decision-making leader for approval to improve efficiency.

Countersignature

When an approver has trouble making a decision, they can initiate a countersignature for group decision-making or start an additional approval and report it to the supervisor above for a decision.

Abort/Delete/Restore

Sometimes, users may have misoperations, causing abort, reject or delete of some process instances. Such process instances can be restored to the state before the operation on the operation and maintenance interface.

Task Pool

The task pool feature offers a usable mechanism for tasks that require a group of people to work together (e.g., order, work order processing) and is able to add processing staff during task running.

Decision approval

BPMN2 provides a general visual model for administrative approval, simplifying the modeling of decision approval (multi-condition combination decision flow).

The system automatically records the exception process instances, log and notifies the administrator, and provides an effective monitoring and repair interface.

Worklist
It offers a series of interfaces like worklist, inform list, task pool, my application, approved, and position-related process instance. Leaders can also view the process instances of their departments and those of subordinate employees, and business staff can view the instances of their business.
Approval tracking
The process instance can be tracked in two ways: graphical and timeline. Approval records like countersign and inform can be categorized and presented for easy reading.
Forecasts
It can quickly forecast the recipients of the following activities. It can dynamically determine the conditions and forecast the process routing based on the current form data.
Spoor
During the process execution, the modification of each field on the form will be recorded, so that the modification of form data can be monitored and traced back.
Job transfers
When the job is transferred, the new employee can be enabled to see the historical process instances of the position. Also, it is possible to cancel and reset the personnel assignment when it is incorrect.
